I photographed a rugby match on Saturday (the Kohn Shield). I’m not much of a sports photographer despite starting out shooting triathlon’s. I also had to photograph netball but I found that much harder.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stared at this water bottle and though it would make a nice subject to photograph. Well here it is… life rewards action ladies and gentlemen.

I’ve just anonymously received this lovely take on The Assistant in my Inbox. Really accentuates his cheekbones. A little more work could have been done to merge the hair, but we’ll assume this was an amateur job.

Ah yes, Jodi, that makes all the difference. I’ve gone for a nice rich terracotta red which gets toned down a little in blogger. See Jodi’s comment here.

Thoughts, anyone, anyone at all….

Playing with composition. I get the feeling that this image just doesn’t quite work. A good photography friend of mine said the brush needed to move out and the bowls further away. It’s missing something… but what.

I got to photograph on a cruise liner yesterday — only I didn’t get to cruise anywhere. The ship was big and grand and a little tacky in a dolphin fountain kind of way.
