Just stummbled upon Sonja Mueller’s photography site. I’m not sure I like her photography style that much, although it’s hard to fault and she obviously has some top end clients, but this website is very cool. Has an interesting navigation and cute sounds.

Looks like I might have failed as a drug test dummy. 2 weeks on the drug and my heart rate is up. 4 ECG’s later they concluded that there isn’t really anything wrong with me, just a high heart rate. I’m in standby mode until they work out what to do with me.

Heard Dave Dobbyn singing “Call me Loyal” to the commonwealth Games athletes this morning and it gave me goosebumps on my skin. I’m not sure why. Do you think this song has become our second national anthem?

So I’ve been wondering lately. Can one do a right brain and a left brain job at the same time? Does one brain task help the other brain task or do they conflict? Is this any different from having a technical job and a creative hobby?

I’ve just spent a night away from home and while it was a nice trip when I arrived back in Wellington I thought how lovely it was to be home.

I really like this shot. Just scanned it in so thought I would post it since I won’t be able to post a photo tomorrow because I have a photo job on!! Yeah. So exciting.

Todd Hido is inspiration for my Suburbia series. I haven’t been conscious of it but I looked at his work a while back and thought it was beautiful. His houses at night work is stunning.

Polly Chandler’s photographs are unusual, strange and beautiful. A lot of her work is 4×5 b&w pos/neg film. Great inspiration for Turning Silver WIPI competition.
